This hand painted and slumped bowl was held at auction for the Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge 2004 event. The black backed blue dichroic glass was sandblasted before slumping to reveal the black backing as shadow. The intense hilites and graceful lines adorn this beautiful composition and is a rendition of the Tuna Challenge logo created by renown sea life artist Chuck Byron. Tuna Challenge is the worlds largest tuna tournament with 100% of all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
