A large red rose deeply carved into 1/2" thick glass and air brushed with deep burgundy red glass paint is set off with a stainless steel brushed plaque as the background. The standoffs are enhanced by dichroic jewels on the top and bottom of the piece. This piece won second place in the 2002 San Diego Art Glass Association Annual Art Show. Designed by Ernie Orfila and executed by Jeff Johnson and David Hererra.
