High Fire Smooth Mold Mix provides a smooth surface for hot glass projects such as casting and mold making. Molds will last for approximately 3 slumps or 1 casting depending upon project temperature. Mix 2 parts mix to 1 part water to a plaster like consistency. Mix slowly for an even consistency. DO NOT USE A MECHANICAL MIXER. This will add unwanted air bubbles. Dry slowly, not in direct sunlight, for about 5 days depending upon humidity or temperature. For a quicker and more dependable drying time, dry in an oven at 400 degrees F for two hours and let it cool for two hours.
