A dramatic, eye catching combination of rich, showy sweet-faced blooms scattered throughout the globe with only the aperture row untouched by foliage is the focal point in this shade which has a 16" diameter and a 7" height. Geometric pieces separate each of the four pattern repeats. Striking color contrasts characteristic of pansy faces were portrayed in each of the four repeats by combining orange with purple, white with yellow, yellow with blue, and red with green. To recreate this lamp as shown in the original lamp pictured in "The Lamps of Tiffany" by Dr. Neustadt, page #86, use mottled glass to intensify the color towards the center of the petals and textured glass rippled, undulated, granite backed to add realism to the flowers. See page #176 in "The Lamps of Tiffany Studios" by William Feldstein, Jr. and Alastair Duncan for another version of the pansy lamp.
