Much loved as a garden plant for their glorious display of large brilliantly colored blooms, the poppy has been cultivated and used ornamentaly for centuries because of their ease of cultivation. Capture their beauty as Tiffany did with this composite reproduction of the Poppy lamp made on Worden s C16 FULLFORM. Poppies have a spectacular display of color which makes an extremely attractive lamp even in reflected light when depicted with textured or knobby glass. Allow traces of color to serve as transitions from hot to cool and from dim to dazzling. A hint of color in leaves can be carried upward into flowers. A contrasting streak in the background may lead toward a bright petal. Tie your color scheme together by repeating the colors in the aperture row and apron. This lamp is very similar to the original Tiffany lamps pictured in Dr. Neustadt s book "The Lamps of Tiffany", pages 96 & 97.
