History of Alpine Stained Glass

In 1973, Alpine Stained Glass started at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas located in rural Southern California. As they put their first stained glass lampshade together they fell in love with its beauty and charm. At that time stained glass art was in relative obscurity, practiced only in a handful of studios nationwide. Inspired by their experience, the Thomas' offered free classes to anyone who would attend so that they could share their newfound love for glass.

Now Alpine's 18,500 square foot facility is located in the heart of San Diego, CA. We are a leading distributor, supplier and manufacturer of hundreds of types of stained glass, architectural glass, tools, supplies, doors, windows and entryways. Our customers include stained glass craftspersons – both hobbyist and professional, builders, homeowners, architects, designers, and manufacturers.

While Alpine Stained Glass has grown tremendously, our spirit of innovation, community, and love for glass remains the same. We take the utmost pride in friendly customer-oriented service and our ability to answer all of your questions. Our staff includes experienced designers, artists, technicians and craftsmen eager to help. We strive for excellence in service, quality and attention to detail.
